ABOUT US

A family-style environment, clinical excellence, and dignity in every detail.

Helena’s House Inc. is a licensed community residential provider in Prince George’s County, Maryland, serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in warm, well-supported homes.

OUR STORY

Founded by a nurse who saw a gap in care.

Helena’s House Inc. was founded in 2004 by Helena Oduro, RN, BSN. After many years working in hospitals and long-term care settings, Helena witnessed how often adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities were placed in environments that didn’t feel truly like home.

She envisioned something different: small, safe, well-staffed homes in the community where each person could receive high-quality clinical support and be known by name, preferences, and personality.

Today, Helena’s House operates multiple licensed community homes across Prince George’s County, providing 24/7 support with a focus on dignity, respect, and long-term stability.

Mission

To provide high-quality, person-centered residential services that promote dignity, safety, independence, and community inclusion for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

OUR APPROACH

What makes Helena’s House different?
